talent development in Karnataka’s thriving Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance
(BFSI) sector. Known as India’s Silicon Valley, Bengaluru is a powerhouse of digital
transformation, hosting a dense network of fintech companies, Global Capability Centres
(GCCs), and financial institutions. Our mission is to empower this ecosystem through
strategic collaborations, talent skilling, and future-ready educational initiatives.

Karnataka Launches India's First BFSI Minor Degree Program

We’re proud to announce a landmark MoU signed with the Government of Karnataka —

unveiled by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Sri Siddaramaiah, at the Bengaluru Tech Summit.
This dynamic partnership marks a bold leap toward reshaping skill development in the
BFSI sector. Together, we're committed to equipping students with cutting-edge domain
knowledge, in-demand tech skills, and industry-ready behavioral competencies — all
designed to close the talent gap and fuel career success in the financial world.

The Bengaluru Chapter is spearheaded by a dynamic leadership team comprising Veda
Prasad, Sheenam Ohrie, Jyothi, and Mohammed Khalil Ullah.

 

Next Steps:

• Communication has been initiated with the government of Karnataka

• We will be selecting the institutions that we are going to collaborate with for the
Accelerated and Minor degree program.

• The program will commence with the start of the new semester, enabling smooth
student onboarding, training assessments, and seamless integration into the
curriculum following semester exams.

We are thrilled to contribute to this transformative journey for students, institutions, and
the BFSI ecosystem in Karnataka.
